Back in the Saddle

I got myself literally back in the saddle today. Friends Connie, Von and myself went for a horseback ride at one of our favorite places, Hyalite Canyon. The horses were well-behaved, the sun was warm, and a few wildflowers were blooming. Best of all was the quiet and the smell of pine on the breeze. We had the whole place to ourselves, and considering what a popular place Hyalite is, it was really a rare event.

  2. Dear Lou Ann
that sounded like a perfect day.
Mom and I are so pleased to see how well you are handling the radiation treatment. Before you know it, this will be just a memory.
Yesterday, May 17th, Mom and I plus Chris and Erika went to Ballard for the big parade. I was in my full Norwegian national costume. Erika and I marched a short version in the parade( a long one lasting about 1 1/2 hour) All kinds of bands, and groups of different Norwegian lodges, from all around the Northwest. Weather was perfect.
